Privacy Policy

How we handle your data. Short version: your tests never leave your browser.

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This policy explains what information PC Check Lab (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website.

Hardware tests run in your browser

Our gamepad, mouse, GPU, microphone and MIDI testers run entirely on your device. Button presses, mouse movements, graphics information, MIDI messages and microphone audio are processed locally by your browser and are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. Microphone recordings exist only in your browser’s memory until you close the page, unless you choose to download them.

Your browser asks for your permission before any page can use your microphone or MIDI devices. You can withdraw that permission at any time in your browser settings.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and performance. We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand which tools are popular.

Cookies and your consent

When you first visit, a cookie banner asks for your consent. Nothing beyond strictly necessary storage is used until you choose. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer. Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie we use in detail.

  • Necessary – remember your cookie choice (pcl_consent, stored for 12 months) and keep the site secure. Always on.
  • Analytics – anonymous statistics about which tools are used, so we can improve them. Only with your consent.
  • Advertising – cookies set by Google AdSense and its partners to show and measure ads, including personalised ads. Only with your consent.

We use Google Consent Mode, so Google services receive your choice and adjust what they store. If you reject advertising cookies, you may still see non-personalised ads.

Google AdSense

This site may show ads served by Google. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through a consent message that meets the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
